The president of the Satu Mare County Council, Mr. Adrian Ştef, declared that a form of support has to be found for all those who want to attract European funds in the county.
“I am directly interested, and I want to let everybody know in public that I am their partner right from this moment. I have seen the openness at these local action groups, and I gladly greet this initiative and the fact that they think about identifying their problems and needs, and try to find solutions. At this time, even if the amount is probably insufficient, we are talking about 7.5 million euros that are to be attracted into our county, which means 2.5 million euros for each local action group, and which covers almost the whole county, because we are talking about the Carei region, Satu Mare municipality region, and the Oaş Country region. I greet this initiative and I ensure all those who elaborate such projects and want to attract and strive to attract European funds, that I am their partner; that is the reason why I submitted in the last meeting of the county council this association agreement that has been signed today. I want to thank the county counselors for voting these agreements and I have to draw their attention that they must be efficient and must find the possibilities that help diminish and eliminate Romanian and European bureaucracy, but it is important for them to move very fast. We monitor them through the Direction of Regional Development, offer them all the necessary support and assistance, but they must be very efficient. We have offered them this loan in order to start the process and we are also offering them assistance so that they could be as efficient as possible” said Mr. Adrian Ştef.
